Forgiven was started in 2014 by me (Monica McCain) as a small business to provide fashion at an affordable price, so all women could feel beautiful. I had a vision for what I wanted my business to be, but because I worked full time, I did not want to quit my job and decided to start Forgiven as a part time hobby. I prayed and asked the Lord to show me how to go about creating a boutique that would also serve as a ministry. So, the journey began.

Forgiven started as a small mobile boutique with  jewelry, caps, belts, sandals and scarves that were sold out of my vehicle. I began to set up at different small events, mostly rodeos; and it was at one of those events, I saw another vendor selling out of a trailer. So, my next purchase was a trailer, which made things a little bit easier to showcase. Over the next year, I added clothing and shoes to the boutique. 

This addition created more value but it also created a demand for a storefront. I searched but the Lord didn't open that door, so I turned to Facebook as a way to showcase my inventory. Facebook was a great source to reach more people, but I still felt a need to go further. So no more rodeos and on to the bigger events, CONFERENCES. Wow, the reactions from the women at these events made me want to open a storefront, but I have to wait for God's timing, not my own. Then I started doing fundraisers and parties. I loved, and still love, interacting with the women. To see the joy on their faces and be able to put outfits together for them was everything. I knew that I was on track with what the Lord wanted me to do.

So, this is how it's been for the past few years and I've enjoyed it. Of course, I couldn't do this on my own. My family and friends have helped me set up for events; and the love and support they show means everything to me. I can't express how much I appreciate them and everything the Lord has done for me and FORGIVEN.
